So far Grant Daniel Long have enjoyed many young auctioneers contest this event over the preceding 12 years. Also it has been an ongoing commitment by the management to nominate staff for the prestigious Mike Nixon Award. The Mike Nixon National Award which was inaugurated in 2005 recognizes those in the stock agency industry who has excelled in marketing of livestock but who might not have received public recognition, different more high profile auctioneers. In 2008 staff member Andrew McCall um, a preceding inaugural branch manager, and more recently the Rural Property and Genuine Estate manager, was named the Queensland finalist, and was the national winner. In 2007 Grant Daniel Lengthy embarked on a 51 joint venture with the national company Ruralco, which represents 16 rural based brands through a national footprint of businesses that specialize in rural merchandise, wool and livestock agency, sincere estate agency, fertilizer manufacture, stock feed and grain storage, handling and distribution and financial services.
